Libertia Ixioides Cranwelliae

This native, evergreen Iris or Mikoikoi has all year round style and interest. The upright, pale green sword-like leaves complement white, iris-like flowers appearing in late spring. Its clumping habit looks spectacular as an under planting in garden where structure and texture is desired. Try planting as a border for bold area definition with river stones or under trees amongst other structured plants like Astelias, Cordylines and grasses. It is suitable in either moist or dry areas preferring sunny situations. This plant is approximately eighteen months old when it reaches the garden centre and you can expect it to double in size over the next year, growing to a height of 0.7 metres by 0.7 metres.
