VIBURNUM DAVIDII - THE PRESS PLANT OF THE MONTH - MARCH 2009
With strongly veined glossy dark green leaves, this evergreen number presents itself in a rounded compact form, perfect for display as a specimen in a pot or container. For an almost hedged look, try planting Viburnum davidii at the front of a bed, to create a horizontal plant of dark leaves that display flat-topped clusters of tiny flowers. Its multitude of uses include rockeries, a tall ground covering, gap filling, group planting or as a single stunner.
Accommodating and adaptable in temperament, Viburnum davidii is at home in full sun, part shade. With an easy care disposition this is one plant that should not be disappoint, and can reach 1m by 1m over time. To encourage habit, just light hand shear. Gardening Solutionz Viburnum davidii are available now in Garden Centres.
The Press Gardening has five Viburnum davidii plants to give away. To enter the draw, write your name and address on the back of an envelope and send it to Viburnum Giveaway, Press Gardening, PO Box 1005, Christchurch 8140, to reach us no later than noon on Wednesday 11 March 2009.
