HAVE A BLAST THIS SUMMER - THE STAR NEWSPAPER
What more could a girl want in her garden than the 'perfect perennial'? This new breakthrough new colour in petunias is bound to create a 'storm in a cupcake' (just wait till you see its label!). With its pink blooms edged in deep cerise pink, this is one plant that will make you say "wow"!
Last year this plant was used to decorate the coporate village at Ellerslie International Flower Show. It was planted in large cupcake tubs to show off its colourful blooms. Bred for its low-spreading habit, continual flowering and tolerance to extreme heat, this low-maintenance little beauty is a winner for containers, hanging baskets and the general garden bed.
A prolific bloomer, the flowers cover the entire plant from spring right through the the first winter frosts. Raspberry Blast grows to 25cm by 60-80cm and enjoys full sun/part shade. This plant is a must if you like bold colours that pack plenty of punch. When planting use a good container or potting mix loaded with saturaid or water storing crystals.
Garden centres have plenty of plants at the moment so pop in and grab yourself a few to add a splash of "dash" to your garden this summer.
