Lonicera Nitida

This hardy evergreen, with its broad, upright branches clothed with narrow, glossy green leaves, makes a perfect architectural specimen. In spring, the new growth has attractive, purplish black edges, offering seasonal interest. This plant is approximately eighteen months old when it reaches the garden centre and could double in size over the next year eventually growing to a height of 2 metres, however for hedging it is best shaped to a height of 0.45 metres by 0.25 metres if desired.
