Dahlia Mystic Illusion

Bred by Dr Keith Hammett of New Zealand, these herbaceous perennials are renowned for their fashionable mahogany black lacquered foliage.  Mystic Illusion has distinct striking yellow blooms flowering continuously through late spring into summer.  They maintain a tidy habit, are superb in containers, mass planted for impact amongst native grasses, and very pest and disease resistant making them very low maintenance.  Plant in full sun in moist but drained soils.  This plant is approximately one year old when it reaches the garden centre and will triple in size and spread over the next two years growing to a height of 80cm by 60cm if desired.
