CONVOLVULUS CNEORUM - THE PRESS PLANT OF THE MONTH OCTOBER 2009
Don't let the name fool you. This decidely stunning shrub is a friendly member of the Convolvulus genus and not a weed.
Convolvulus cneorum or bush morning glory is a compact evergreen shrub with stunning silky, silver foliage. From late spring through summer, its foliage bursts with snowy white cup shaped flowers. Try planting with the structured Astelia Silver Spear or for a punch of colour, plant aongside the fabulous blue of the Lithospermum Grace Ward or the lime green foliage and flowers of Euphorbia Kea. Convolvulus Cneorum is not fussy and its uses are varied.
This one can be planted anywhere. This little number likes full sun or part shade and well drained soil. It will grow to 40 cm by 1 m. Give a light trim to tidy.
