Trevor who was Waikato's regional winner is exactly the sort of unsung horticultural hero that New Zealand Gardener was looking for.  Over the years he has raised more than $50,000 for charity by selling plants he has raised from seeds and cuttings in the plastic house in his backyard.  West Coast gardener, Helen Love was named runner up, but all the finalists were winners!
